Kim Jee, captain of the SW Straight Shooters said after the game, ‘we played well all tournament and are pleased with our efforts.’  The game was 1 to 1 after the first period, but midway through the second the Brownies would score two quick goals to open up the lead they would never relinquish adding an empty net goal in the final seconds.

The Shooters were led by Gwynne Attenborough who led the tournament in scoring and the strong goaltending of Jacey Taylor.

The Brownies played with confidence and received balanced scoring throughout the tournament and seem to make all the right plays as their depth showed through.

The Brownies return in a few weeks in an attempt to claim the Women’s B Provincial Championship.
