Women’s Winter Classic Tournament 2018

The Winter Classic marks the start of the 2018 season and what a year this promises to be as the tournament had an international flair with members of Great Britain, Italy and Canada participating for their club teams.

The teams were ranked into two different pools and top three advancing to the B pool and balance of teams to the C pool.

In the C Pool semi final had the Stouffville Selects win 4-1 over the Durham Sharks and B semi final had the Battalion score a late goal and win 2-1.

The Championship B Pool final pitted the Orillia District 12 capture the championship with a 5-0 win over the Selects.

The Alliston Bullets started off the year winning the tournament championship over the Midland Battalion with a hard fought 2-1 win.

Congratulations to the host center and to all the participants for a very successful and competitive tournament that showcased excellent ball hockey at all levels of play that can only benefit the women’s game in future years to come.

We hope to see everyone at the Women’s Pre Season Showcase in Mississauga the weekend of April 27-29 and are offering four divisions of play, A. B, C and Masters

Play on ladies!
