The OBHA in conjunction with the Oshawa Ball Hockey Association hosted the 2019 Women’s Provincial Championships August 16-18 in Oshawa with 14 teams competing in four categories of play.
The provincials produced a weekend full of close games with all four championship games being decided by two or fewer goals.
In the Women’s ‘A’ Final the Midland Battalion got past the Durham Selects by a 3-1 score. In the ‘B’ final the Oshawa Stampede edge Penetang Michelle’s Optical 3-1. The Women’s ‘C’ final saw the East Toronto Stars win 1-0 in overtime against the Scarborough Penguins while the in the Women’s Master’s championship game the Toronto Fun Girls squeezed out a 1-0 win over the Oshawa Stampede.
