This past weekend, ball hockey teams gathered at the Barrie Ball Hockey Club for the OBHA Men’s A Canada Cup 4v4 Championship and what a tournament!
This division of play features a blend of young up and coming teams, and older ones who still enjoy playing competitive ball hockey. Nonetheless, it has enhanced an entirely new venue for participation among the competing teams. For many players, it is their first taste of top-level competitive ball hockey that provides them the opportunity to see and meet new teams while playing in the ‘A’ division.
The tournament provided very entertaining round robin games, but in the end it was the New Tecumseth TNT claiming gold defeating London Reapers in the tournament final 4-1.
Congratulations to all the teams for their participation in the 2021 Men’s A Canada Cup 4v4 Championships and we look forward to seeing everyone at the Provincial Championships in London, August 27-29.
