2021 Provincial Championships – Men’s E Division

We are the champions!

The Provincial Championships, hosted at the end of the season in August for each of the respective adult divisions of play, are indeed the showcase series of events hosted by the Ontario Ball Hockey Association.

And to the victors go the spoils!

The presentation of the provincial signature medals, championship trophy and uniquely designed sublimated hoodies in each division of play, has become synonymous with OBHA supremacy.  It is an accomplishment and one of the most sought after collection of trinkets in ball hockey today.  The experience and bragging rights is the goal of most teams in the province at the beginning of each season.

There was very little seperating the top four teams, three from the Toronto area, in this year’s Men’s E Provincial Championships in London, Ontario.  Nonetheless, despite their records in the preliminary round games, a battle between the top two seeds seemed inevitable.

The Wolves and Youngstars were the top two seed, but the Tillsonburg squad had a wopping 26 goals going into the final, including a resounding 7-1 semi-final victory over Doochu Household.  The Youngstars, on the other hand, sneaked by the Danforth Knights 2-1 to advance to the championship matinee.

The Wolves would carry the momentum of their semi final win and go undefeated in capturing the championship with a 4-2 victory.

Congratulations to all the teams for a very exciting tournament and to the Tillsonburg Wolves, the E Provincial Champions.
