2021 Provincial Championships – Women’s A Division

We are the champions!

The Provincial Championships, hosted at the end of the season in August for each of the respective adult divisions of play, are indeed the showcase series of events hosted by the Ontario Ball Hockey Association.

And to the victors go the spoils!

The presentation of the provincial signature medals, championship trophy and uniquely designed sublimated hoodies in each division of play, has become synonymous with OBHA supremacy.  It is an accomplishment and one of the most sought after collection of trinkets in ball hockey today.  The experience and bragging rights is the goal of most teams in the province at the beginning of each season.

It was no doubt nothing less than a resounding experience for their opposition as the London Redliners stepped onto the floor in their quest for the women’s premier ‘orange ball’ prize in Ontario.  The ladies from the London created more than slight electrical impulse as they were a perfect 5-0-0 while scoring 19 goals and allowing only 5 as they cruised to the Women’s A Provincial Championship in their home city.

In semi-final action, it was the Redliners with a 4-2 over the Blazers, while the Southwest Snipers defeated the Durham Beaver Dusters by a score of 2-1 in overtime.

In the tournament final, it was all Redliners as they posted a 5-0 victory over the Snipers for the Women’s A title.

Congratulations to all the teams for a very exciting tournament and to the London Redliners, the A Provincial Champions.
