Ontario Ball Hockey Association is hosting the biggest Pre Season Ball Hockey Tournaments

OBHA Winter Provincials kicks off the season with over 60 teams vying to be one of the 7 champions crowned in London the weekend of April 22-24.

Scott Jacobi. OBHA Vice President, this event is usually the kickoff for the spring/summer season, but with the pandemic many teams have only had the opportunity to play outdoors in select cities so it is exciting time for those participating.

The following weekend the association hosts the Women's Pre Season Showcase in Mississauga and we expect between 16-24 teams competing.

Kathy Vessair, OBHA Women's Chairperson, "by offering four divisions, teams can play at their respective level, making all the games more competitive".  She continued, "the OBHA has over 20 women's and girls leagues so the variety of skill, talent, and comradery on display through each division is a joy to watch."

Men's divisions offered in London will be A, B, C, D, E, Masters and Co-Ed.   For the Women's Showcase we will be offering A, B, C and Masters.

A big change this year - Champions will receive invitations to attend the National Ball Hockey Association of Canada tournaments in Halifax, Canada Cup for Men's B, C, D, E and Women's B and C the weekend of July 21-24.  The A division champions will be invited to attend Nationals in Brampton August 9-13.

Mauro Cugini, President, 'these events have become signature events for the association over that past 20 years.'  We look forward to hosting the best players in the country at these two events.'
