The Ontario Ball Hockey Association has been known for producing excellent ball hockey players since 1974, but did you know many in the association have come through the minor ball hockey programs in our association and played at the OBHA Minor Provincial Championships, Nationals and Internationally and below is an update – Where Are They Now!.

The National Hockey League recently announced their rosters for the upcoming year and we are proud to announce that 19 OBHA alumni were listed on opening night rosters/management including injured reserve: 

Derick Brassard, Michael Bunting, Quinton Byfield, Casey Cizikas, Nick Cousins, Brian Elliott, Ryan Ellis, Morgan Frost, Mark Giordano, Taylor Hall, Dougie Hamilton, Josh Leivo, Connor McDavid, Corey Perry, Mark Scheifele, Tyler Seguin, Tyler Toffoli, Mike Futa, and Steve Yzerman

The following are playing pro hockey or are in management in North America, Shannon Doyle-Turner, Renata Fast, Mikyla Grant Mentis,  Jess Jones, Kristen Richards,  Natalie Spooner, Laura Stacey, Saroya Tinker, Angela James, Geraldine Heaney and Jayne Hefford.

The following are currently in the American Hockey League, Andrew Agozzino, Victor Mete, Wayne Simmonds and Givani Smith

The following are awaiting contracts, Brad Richardson,  Gemel Smith and Joe Thornton.
