If this was the preview for the Provincial Championships later this year, we will indeed be in for a treat as the level of competition was simply wonderful. At this year’s tourney, there was very little separating all the teams as this was the most balanced tournament in years and it was any team’s tournament to win.

In the Women’s ‘B’ class, Mighty Moose have returned one of the best club teams in the province and outlasted the United team en route to the 2-1 victory.

In semi-final action, the Moody Moose would battle the Battalion and win 3-1, while united would defeat a strong Peterborough squad with two late power play goals 2-1.

In Women’s B division, the excitement of the round robin would continue to the semi final round with the Ninja Shooters winning 4-3 in overtime over The Sting. In the other quarter final game, Michelle’s Optical upended the Toxic Soles 2-1.

The final would see the Ninja Shooters capture their Pre Season Championship with a 3-2 victory over Michelle’s Optical.
And to the victors go the spoils! The presentation of the championship trophy, championship and all star awards, have become synonymous with OBHA supremacy. It is an accomplishment and one of the most sought after collection of trinkets in sports today.
